He started his career over 25 years ago at Harrods, running the Annick Goutal account. He has also worked for Crabtree & Evelyn,Creed, Caron and Lalique. Since 1998 he has been perfume archivist at Les Senteurs Specialist Perfumery in London. James is internationally renowned for his writingas a perfume critic. He writes and lectures regularly on the history, psychology, emotions and wearing of perfume.
